Protect yourself against phishing attempts

11 Feb 2023

We would like to draw your attention to phishing, one of the most common global fraud schemes, whereby various people use the online environment to scam money.

Phishing usually takes place through simple methods where personal data or confidential information such as PIN, passwords, bank card numbers are requested.

These attempts ask victims to install malware, transfer money, subscribe to various premium services, authorise payments they have not requested.

To stay safe, users should not respond to suspicious messages, access links or web pages similar to those of known organisations.

They should always check the sender, content of messages, links and files received, set secure passwords for each device or account used and regularly update software versions on all devices (mobile phone, tablet, laptop, router, Smart TV, etc.).

Internet connections will only be made using secure internet network connections and with antivirus and firewall protection installed, which requires constant updating.
